This is a vlog about the time when a lovestruck Russell’s viper snake chased us! Russell’s vipers are among the five most venomous snakes in the world.

“We continued rowing towards a flock of whiskered terns when suddenly something long and slim popped its head right out of the water… about a foot out!”

We were expecting to see only birds, but was there a pleasant surprise in store for us!

Are snakes venomous or poisonous?

Snakes have venom and venom needs a mode of injection to affect another creature. Snakes inject venom through their fangs. Once the venom enters the body of another creature, it becomes poisonous. Certain mushrooms, frogs and butterflies are fatal if eaten. It makes them poisonous, not venomous because they are fatal only if eaten.
